Foxes
have always been a very popular wildlife subject for artists
and Terry is no exception. He has created pieces featuring
foxes for Kingsley, Moorcroft and Elliot Hall Enamels.
For
his first circular box under his own brand, Terry wanted to
try a different approach and decided on the difficult challenge
of a snow scene. Snow is always hard for an artist to portray
as it is never really white! Great skill is needed to create
form and a three dimensional image out of shadow and reflection.
There is absolutely no doubt that he has succeeded here with
distinction, the foxes standing out well against the subtly
coloured snow. Inside the box are male and female foxes with
snow covered branches as a background. The two male pheasants
are an added bonus, adding a subtle touch of colour.
