Sometimes an artist painted a piece and Moorcroft came up with the title. This is a case in point and unfortunately the title gives nothing away about the subject! This enamel appeared in the same catalogue as "Merlin" and "Kestrel". The subject is in fact a Hobby, with one of the images on the outside showing typical behaviour as a bird returns to a perch to eat its dragonfly prey. The inside has a recently fledged bird (fledging usually occurring after 28-34 days).
