Based on an old Moorcroft pattern this delightful vase is meticulously painted by Rachel Douglas-Ryder and numbered 97/200. The original mauve lustrecharacteristic of Hesperian ware is skillfully recreated on this pattern, which has a distinctive "Japanese" feel to the design of carp and water weeds.
